ABSTRACT:

Objective: To establish a relationship between health education (HE) and treatment adherence in patients with atopic dermatitis. Methodology: A literature review was conducted using the PRISMA statement to ensure a rigorous synthesis of the evidence across multiple databases. Specific keywords and Boolean operators were employed to obtain precise results. Results: The retrieved articles demonstrated that health education improves treatment adherence in patients with atopic dermatitis. It was observed that health education programs implemented by nurses have a positive impact on disease management. Conclusions: Health education is a key component to consider in the management of atopic dermatitis, as it improves treatment adherence and the quality of life of these patients.
